Heading back to Sweden!

To make a long story short, as a result of the great opportunity I had to help out George Contreras and the Hässleholm Hurricanes last season in Sweden, I was offered the head coach position with the Kristianstad Predators American Football Club.  I was scheduled to leave for Sweden tomorrow....

...until I heard this morning that SAS cancelled my flight from Chicago to Copenhagen.  Luckily, I was re-accomodated to a similar flight the following day.  My aunt, who is a travel agent and has been a great help in setting up my travel arrangements, quickly worked to reschedule my flight from LAX to Chicago.  By this afternoon everything was rescheduled and I will be leaving Wednesday the 2nd and arriving in Copenhagen, and then Kristianstad, the evening of March 3rd.

As you can see, I am amid mild chaos as I sort through things and make last minute preparations.  While I am anxious to get to Sweden to start getting ready for the season, the extra day will be beneficial to my nerves as I have a little more time to pack and spend time with friends and family here at home.  I have been traveling a lot the last few weeks, including a trip to a family cabin in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Salt Lake City to visit my sister and her family, and Indianapolis where I visited friends from Notre Dame and attended a football coaching clinic.  I'm certainly looking forward to being able to settle into my apartment in Kristianstad and be able to stay in one place for a while!
